An Iron Throne

The cliffs of magical Marloes Sands resemble the Iron Throne out of the GOT shows. They rise from the ground like a new world being created. No wonder the beach was used for a scene in the movie Snow White and the Huntsman. It is set on the south-westerly tip of Wales and is a part of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. The beach is teaming with wildlife and has a handy National Trust car park half a mile from the beach. It is a great place for a photo-shoot if you are willing to carry your equipment down the coastal path.

    A Cabin in the Forest

I love the spirit of America’s Wild West – the landscape, the wilderness and of course their cabins. I’ve shot a few cabins that give me that pioneering feeling, and Atkinson Grimshaw’s one of the best. Named after one of the most renowned painters of the Victorian era, it is situated in a rugged forest in the Yorkshire Wolds or Hockney country as it has become known as. (I have come to realise that Yorkshire is incredibly rich of famous great artists!), but its also the perfect place to kick back in your cowboy boots. The whole camp is magical this time of year with the trees coming alive with bird song, but it also an amazing winter retreat with the fire roaring. I could easily live there all year round.
